Terms and Conditions

By accessing this website you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to them, you may not use and access this website. The Uma Kangai website is provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not use this website for any commercial purpose.

Acceptance of your Order

The display of any item on our website is not an offer to sell and Uma Kangai shall be under no obligation to supply the products ordered through this website. If you place an order, this will be your offer to purchase the items from us. We will acknowledge your order as soon as possible but will be under no obligation to supply the products ordered unless we have the products in stock and they are available at the prices specified.

If items that you order are out of stock, subject to a delay or the price is higher than that shown on your order, we will try to contact you at the email address you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to our email, we will continue to process the remaining items on your order. We will not supply a substitute product without your express authority.

Pre-Order

Please note that you will be charged for the item once the order is placed as this will secure the item for you. Once your order has arrived we will be able to ship your item directly to you.

When making a purchase that includes a pre-order piece, you will incur a supplementary shipping charge when your pre-order is dispatched at a later date. In addition, when purchasing multiple pre-order items, you will incur a charge for each item that is dispatched.

Made to Order

Please note that all made to order and special order items are non-returnable, non exchangeable. You will receive a confirmation e-mail at your purchase of made to order items with further details.

Delivery

We aim to deliver your chosen items to the place and person of your choice, in perfect condition and in the shortest possible time. Delivery charges are £10.00 to a UK delivery address and £25.00 for overseas orders. We insure each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. If you wish to track your parcel and have not received an email with your tracking details, please email us and we will either track your shipment for you or email you a tracking number

Most orders will be dispatched within 10 working days subject to credit clearance, address verification and availability of items. We will contact you if there is a delay or if items are out of stock.

We ship to all countries via courier. All orders to Non-European countries will be shipped on a DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid) basis. This means that any duties and taxes incurred in the country of destination are the responsibility of the customer.

If you for any reason refuse delivery you will still be charged the duties and taxes. Your item will be returned to Uma Kangai and you will be directly charged for the unpaid duties and taxes along with the additional shipping costs.

We require that all parcels are signed for in person.  Some countries allow consignees to authorise parcels to be left unattended (eg. Outside the delivery address), however we strongly advise against this. Consignees that authorise this form of delivery do so at their own risk, neither our used courier company nor Uma Kangai can then be held responsible for lost/stolen parcels.

Please note: Umakagai.com customer care will be closed on public holidays.

Russia

Please note that at present customs in Russia has introduced a new restriction which means that parcels can take up to a week extra to arrive.

We are unable to deliver jewellery, furs or exotic skins to Russia, if you are ordering a piece containing these materials you will be asked to provide shipping address outside of the Russian Federation. 

China

We ship to China via DHL courier on a DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid) basis. However, there is a customs issue which requires the receiver to provide a ten digit customs registration number (CR number) to Uma Kangai which must be obtained from Chinese customs. We cannot ship orders to China via DHL courier without the required CR number. Please be advised that you will need to contact your local customs for the customs registration number (CR number). Your ID number is not the CR number that is required by your local customs (please click on the link below)

Please also note that your shipment/order cannot be classed as personal effects/personal use as your shipment is coming from Uma Kangai as a business to yourself as a consumer. Therefore, you are responsible for import duties/taxes at your local customs office. We have already deducted 20% VAT from your purchase, therefore any duty and taxes incurred in the country of destination are the responsibility of the customer. When you placed your order, you agreed to our terms and conditions of purchase.

Your local customs will return your shipment to us if you cannot provide your personal customs registration number. In this event you still may incur duties and taxes from customs in China, which you as the customer would be solely responsible for.

We do not ship to Indonesia

All first time orders can only be sent to the billing address.

Pre-Ordered Product Shipping

When making a purchase that includes a pre-order piece, please be aware that you will incur a supplementary shipping charge when your order is dispatched. In addition, when purchasing multiple pre-order items, you will incur a shipping charge each time an order is dispatched.

Returns/Exchange policy

Unsuitable clothing items may not be returned or exchanged unless faulty. Accessories may only be exchanged within 7 days from the date you sign for the delivery. Before you return something you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving an item and obtain a Return Authorization Reference number by emailing us at [email protected]. Please include your original receipt in the returned parcel. You must write your Return Authorization Reference number on the receipt. Any returned items that are not accompanied by an official reference number will not be accepted.

Uma Kangai will only exchange an item, subject to availability, if a different product is desired you must place this as a new order. Returns received after the 7 days time frame are accepted at the discretion of Uma Kangai and can only be refunded with a 'store credit note' which can be used online.

Jewellery purchased online through our website will need to be shipped back to us for return or exchange within 3 working days of receiving the item. Please note that we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on earrings. In addition fine jewellery containing precious stone or diamonds can not be returned or exchanged.

The product you return must be in new, unused, and unworn condition with all the original packaging and garment tags still attached. We do not accept any item with any indication that it was used. In such cases, the item will be returned to the purchaser.

It is advisable to send returned items by registered post/DHL and keep your proof of postage certificate, as we cannot be responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit. Please note that postal costs for returned goods are the customer’s responsibility and will be reimbursed by us only in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.

Uma Kangai are not responsible for any item that is not returned in the manner set forth above and we cannot accept responsibility for packages until we are in possession of them.

Customers' statutory rights are unaffected.

Colours

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on Uma Kangai. However, as computer moniters vary, we cannot guarantee that your moniter's display of any colour will be completely accurate.

Payment

Payment can be made securely online by Visa, Master Card, American Express, Diners or Maestro cards. The credit/debit card that is being used must be yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order. We also reserve the right to cancel your order. For first time online customers, we may request that shipping be to the credit card billing address only

By submitting an order to us through our website you represent and warrant that the payment details provided on your order are valid and correct and that when your order is accepted and processed by us, payment will be made in full.

If the billing details for your order are the same as your delivery address details, by placing an order on the website you confirm that you are the person referred to in the delivery address details. Otherwise, by placing an order, you confirm that you are the person referred to in the billing details.

The Website

Given the unpredictability of technology and the online environment, Uma Kangai make no promise that our website will be uninterrupted or entirely error free, or free of viruses or bugs or compatible with any other software or material. Accessing the website is entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible to you if we are unable to provide our Internet services for any reason beyond our control.

The content of our website is presented, "as is", and we do not guarantee its accuracy, whether explicit or implied. We reserve the right to amend errors, make changes to our website, withdraw any part of our site or to update product information at any time if we consider it necessary.

Liability and Indemnity

Except in relation to our contractual obligations to supply goods following acceptance of orders placed on our website, neither we nor any of our directors, employees, suppliers or other representatives will be liable in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise for any loss or damage whatsoever in any way connected with your use of the website.

You agree fully to indemnify us, our directors, employees, suppliers or other representatives from and against all liabilities against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this website. We may terminate your use of the website immediately if we consider that you have breached these terms and conditions.

Jurisdiction

This website is controlled and operated by Uma Kangai Ltd in the UK. These terms and conditions and all matters connected with any order you place in our website are governed by English law.
